Dog training clickers are small plastic toys that act as a powerful scientific training system. They are used to achieve faster results in dog training by telling your dog that whatever he's doing at that precise moment will be rewarded.

Dogs have only a short window of time in which they associate what they're doing with a consequence-whether it is a reward or a punishment. A dog training clicker lets your dog know at "dog speed" that he's just done something that you want and that he'll be rewarded.

A dog tether is used for safety and management in the home. When tethering is used with positive reinforcement, it can be an effective tool in dog training.
(NOTE: Tethering should never be used as punishment.)

While your dog is tethered, reward him whenever you notice him doing a behavior you desire, such as sit, down, go to your spot, etc. Use of a tether in this way helps to set your dog up for success so you are able to constantly reward him for behaviors you want. Available in various lengths, it can be attached to a baseboard or to furniture. You can also hook the dog tether to the doorknob on the other side of the door; then drop the leash to the floor, slip it under the door and close the door.
